Hellhole 5 Mile Trail Race

You’re invited to join us for Derwentside Athletic Club’s annual five-mile trail race in Stanley, County Durham.

The course is a mix of trail and tarmac paths, so it’s a great race for experienced trail runners or those looking to try their first one. This undulating route takes you down railway paths, across fields and along beautiful woodland tracks, with runners enjoying 500ft of elevation.

Parking: Shield Row School, King Edward VIII Terrace, Stanley, DH9 0HQ. Parking available.
Registration: 8:00am – 9:30am at The Ball Alley Pub beer garden. Marshalls will direct you from the car park to registration.
Race start: Sustrans cycle path, by Orchard Grove, DH9 8NY, at 10:00am sharp. 2 minute walk from registration.
Entry fee: UKA Member – £16.00,  Non Member – £18.00. Booking online at SiEntries. Places available on the day for an extra £2. 
Refreshments can be bought at The Ball Alley pub and we have exclusive access to the beer garden before and after the race.
